Aren’t we all

That fate will guide us,
That fate will lead us,
To where we are meant to be

Come dear wanderer,
Let us wander together,
This wonderful world of ours

We all wander the world, in search. We search for so many different things. Friends, love, purpose, destiny. But so much of that is out of our control.

Sure, we can control who we choose to associate with, but we can’t control what people we will meet, what people happen to be around us.

We can control how we react to our emotions, but I don’t think we can control our emotions overall. We like what and who we like. We dislike who and what we dislike.

We know what we are good at, and what we enjoy doing. But that isn’t always the career for you, due to numerous other factors such as money (which sucks). But purpose is a much broader word than career. We try to find out our purpose, what we are meant to do.

“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” – Mark Twain

Much of it is tied to destiny. To me, destiny is what you make out of what you’ve been given. Again, you can’t control what you’ve been given, but you can control what you do with it.

So much is out of our control. Yet so much is within it. And we all wander the earth, believing that we will land where we are meant to. Some do it while making a greater effort to control where they land, while others just let it happen. But at the end of the day, we are all just wanderers in this wonderful world of ours.

Let us set off, dear wanderer, on this journey together, as this is only the first post of August.
